Reclaiming Dreams is a ministry that was started by Scott and Cristy Thomas in 2009 and is based out of Clarksville Grace Church of the Nazarene. The focus of the ministry is how to reclaim the dreams we have in marriage when we say “I Do”.
Life changes alter the landscape of our marriages on a daily basis. Jobs, children, family, friends, finances and so many other obstacles bombard marriages every day resulting in the erosion of the happiness couples intended to have. In Scott and Cristy Thomas’ own marriage, the effects of not having a foundation built on the bedrock of Jesus culminated in a catastrophic collapse that nearly destroyed them and their family. In spite of their own failures, God has restored them individually, as a couple, and as a family and has brought them to a point of joy, peace and happiness. Their ministry is not just geared towards those seeking to rebuild their marriage, it also helps those in all stages of marriage avoid the pitfalls that can wreak so much havoc on what God has brought together.
They have been successfully living out the valuable lessons God has taught them and have committed to sharing their life testimony with others to offer encouragement and practical tools for those seeking God-led marriages.
Scott and Cristy have taught a Sunday school marriage class since 2009. In 2011, they started men’s and women’s Bible studies that meet weekly at a local coffee house and they have been leading seminars and coaching couples individually as well, walking through the different stages of redemption. The call on their life together to intercede on behalf of marriages has been embraced with a sincere desire to help those in need, and they are currently on staff at Clarksville’s Grace Church of the Nazarene as Marriage Pastors.
They consider the greatest blessing in their lives to be their savior Jesus Christ, their marriage and children.
